SEUC'09 is an international workshop on Software Engineering for Ubiquitous Computing, which will be held simultaneously (i.e., same location and dates) with a number of other joint workshops and conferences as part of the 2009 World Congress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied Computing. ==Topics== Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: - Software Engineering Principals effective use for ubiquitous computing - Requirements Engineering for ubiquitous computing - Aspect-Oriented Software Engineering for ubiquitous computing - Hardware support ubiquitous computing and communications - Software infrastructures - System architectures and platforms - Mobile/wireless computing, communications, systems and services - Embedded computing with applications - Low power, energy-aware computing - Wearable computers and technologies - Smart devices, spaces and objects - Location-dependent/personalized applications - Service discovery mechanisms and protocols - Middleware services and agent technologies - Sensors and actuators - Positioning and tracking technologies - Integration of wired and wireless networks - Personal area networks - Intelligent devices and environments - Context and location awareness, context based and implicit computing - Speech and language processing/advanced computer vision - User interfaces and interaction models - Wireless/mobile service management and delivery - Resource management in ubiquitous platforms - Security and privacy issues - Education and training - New products, standards, tools and best practices - Emerging new topics - Embodied agents - Interactive workspace - Ubiquitous computing - Location-based systems - Secure collaboration in uncertain environments - Biometric methods for ubiquitous computing - Applications and case studies ==Submissions== Papers must be written in English. Each paper will be peer reviewed by the program committee members. Papers should contain original contributions not published or submitted elsewhere, and should refer to related state-of-the-art work. Papers describing work of progress are explicitly welcome. Proceedings will be published under SERP proceedings. Papers must be formatted in the IEEE Proceedings Format (LaTeX formatting macros, Word format) which is single spaced, two columns, 10pt Times/Roman font. Length of full papers must not exceed 6 pages (IEEE Proceeding style, double column including figures, tables and references). Papers should include a title, the name and affiliation of each author, an abstract of up to 150 words and no more than eight keywords. All submissions should be electronic (in PDF).
