+ | The 23rd ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge
+ | Management (CIKM 2014) will be held from Nov 3-7, 2014 in Shanghai, China.
+ | CIKM is a top-tier ACM conference in the areas of information retrieval,

+ | together leading researchers and developers from the three communities. The
+ | purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the
+ | development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future
+ | research directions through the publication of high qualsity, applied and
+ | theoretical research findings. In CIKM 2014, we will continue the tradition
+ | of promoting collaboration among multiple areas. We encourage submissions of
+ | high quality research papers and posters on all topics in the general areas
+ | of databases, information retrieval, and knowledge management.

+ | == Paper Submissions ==
+ | ------------------------------------
+ | Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers, and
+ | poster papers, that are not being considered for publication in any other
+ | forum. Research papers should satisfy the standard requirements of a usual
+ | top-tier international research conference. Poster papers should describe
+ | interesting ongoing work, new discoveries and insights, or summaries of
+ | significant projects, etc.
+ | |||
+ | Manuscripts should be submitted electronically, in PDF format and formatted
+ | using the ACM camera-ready templates. Research papers cannot exceed 10 pages
+ | in length and poster papers cannot exceed 4 pages in length. Papers should
+ | be submitted through the CIKM 2014 online submission system, which is also
+ | the online review system for the conference.
+ | |||
+ | CIKM 2014 research and poster paper review takes the double-blind format,
+ | and therefore, papers must be properly anonymized (improper anonymization
+ | may be a ground for rejection without review). Papers are to be submitted to
+ | one of the three tracks (DB, IR, KM). The same program committee of each
+ | track will review both the research papers and the poster papers submitted
+ | into the track. Multiple track submissions are not allowed. There is no
+ | short paper category, and all papers are going to receive an accept or
+ | reject decision (i.e., papers are not going to be moved from one category to
+ | another). | ||
+ | |||
+ | Uploading instructions and more detailed submission instructions for papers,
+ | and workshop/tutorial proposals are to be announced. Please visit the
+ | conference website for more details.
+ | |||
+ | Each accepted research paper requires at least one unique full (non-student)
+ | registration regardless of the status of the registered author(s). Each
+ | poster paper must also have at least one (not necessarily unique) author
+ | registered (student registration allowed for posters). Also, one of the
+ | authors (or a qualified substitute, with qualification judged by the Program
+ | Committee chairs) must give the presentation of the paper at the conference
+ | as arranged in the conference program. Poster paper presentations will be
+ | done in the paper poster format, and the authors are to bring their own
+ | large format paper posters to the conference, while the conference provides
+ | the facility to display the posters. The papers with no shows will not be
+ | indexed by the ACM digital library and will be pulled out from the published
+ | proceedings if possible.
+ | |||
+ | For any questions about paper submission, please contact the program
+ | committee track chairs.

Paper Submissions
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers, and poster papers, that are not being considered for publication in any other forum. Research papers should satisfy the standard requirements of a usual top-tier international research conference. Poster papers should describe interesting ongoing work, new discoveries and insights, or summaries of significant projects, etc.
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically, in PDF format and formatted using the ACM camera-ready templates. Research papers cannot exceed 10 pages in length and poster papers cannot exceed 4 pages in length. Papers should be submitted through the CIKM 2014 online submission system, which is also the online review system for the conference.
CIKM 2014 research and poster paper review takes the double-blind format, and therefore, papers must be properly anonymized (improper anonymization may be a ground for rejection without review). Papers are to be submitted to one of the three tracks (DB, IR, KM). The same program committee of each track will review both the research papers and the poster papers submitted into the track. Multiple track submissions are not allowed. There is no short paper category, and all papers are going to receive an accept or reject decision (i.e., papers are not going to be moved from one category to another).
Uploading instructions and more detailed submission instructions for papers, and workshop/tutorial proposals are to be announced. Please visit the conference website for more details.
Each accepted research paper requires at least one unique full (non-student) registration regardless of the status of the registered author(s). Each poster paper must also have at least one (not necessarily unique) author registered (student registration allowed for posters). Also, one of the authors (or a qualified substitute, with qualification judged by the Program Committee chairs) must give the presentation of the paper at the conference as arranged in the conference program. Poster paper presentations will be done in the paper poster format, and the authors are to bring their own large format paper posters to the conference, while the conference provides the facility to display the posters. The papers with no shows will not be indexed by the ACM digital library and will be pulled out from the published proceedings if possible.
For any questions about paper submission, please contact the program committee track chairs.
