 SMI (Shape Modeling International) is an annual conference. SMI'09 will be held in Beijing, China, hosted by Tsinghua University, on June 26-28, 2009.

SMI'09 provides an international forum for presenting new trends and results in theory, techniques, and applications of shape modeling, simulating, and analysis. The audience of SMI'09 includes researchers, developers, students, and practitioners across a wide range of fields.

The proceedings of SMI'09 will be published as a special issue of "Computers and Graphics" Journal (Elsevier), and the short papers will be considered for publication in the short paper proceedings of SMI. All the papers will be reviewed in two cycles, i.e., review and rebuttal cycles, with the Elsevier paper submission and review system.

February 14,	2009 : rebuttal due
February 16,	2009 : acceptance decision due
March 2,	2009 : camera-ready version due
