I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Utah State University, where I completed the degree under the advisement of Dr.Stephen Clyde (2011 to 2015). I received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from Yarmouk University, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Currently, I’m an Assistant Professor of the Information Technology program at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, USA. I have served as a faculty member in the Department of Information Systems at Yarmouk University in Jordan, where I’ve also served as the Director of the Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration Studies Center. My areas of research expertise include Software Design and Modeling, Data Analysis, Web Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity Analysis, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and Cloud Computing. I have been actively engaged in multidisciplinary research projects and have a record of several publications and presentations in my field. I have also received various national and international research grants, serving as both a principal investigator and a team member in multiple EU-funded projects from H2020, HOPES, Erasmus+, and Nuffic. Additionally, I have recently received the certificate for the Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions program by MIT’s Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) and the AWS Cloud Practitioner Program by Amazon Web Services.
